Incredible resource on queer history and folkmagic
This book is incredible, and really opened my eyes on a lot of deeply personal elements of my upbringing as a queer person and lifelong 'pagan.'
It has some pretty important queer context to history that has long been stripped of any references by mass media tellings of history today.
If you are queer or lgbtq+ you should definitely read this book. If you are interested in paganism, you should definitely read this book. If you are interested in history, you should absolutely read this book.
It was written in the 70's so it has some whimsy from that time, but don't let that deter you. This is supremely important history that should be taught to more people, and it has sources.
If you are curious, READ THIS BOOK.
The only other review for this must be written by a homophobe because clearly he read the intro and then got offended immediately and decided to leave a review that makes him sound like a manchild.
